He is co-curator of the International traveling
exhibition and book “Both Sides of Peace” Israeli
and Palestinian posters, Museum of Contemporary
Art Raleigh North Carolina, since 1996.
He has been a jury member in Moscow, Paris
and Venice and he has been invited as guest
lecturer in Boston, Istanbul and Stockholm.
Mr. Lemel’s work has been featured in magazines
around the world and a book about his design work
has been published in China (Lingnan Publishing).
His posters are part of the permanent collections
of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London;
the Musee de la Publicite, Palias du Louvre, Paris;
the Neue Sammlung, Munich and the Museum
fuer Kunst und Gewerve, Hamburg.
Mr. Lemel has been awarded with the 2002 Korean Poster Biennial Grand Prix; the 1998 Promax Gold Medal, Canada; the 2002 Mexico Poster Biennial Gold Medal; the 2002 Brno Graphic Design Biennial Silver Medal, Critic’s Award and Mayor’s Prize, Czech Republic. Twice a mention in Mons Triennial and three times finalist in the EuropeanEpica Award. He’s been awarded more than 60 times at the advertising and graphic design competitions “Otot” and “Golden Cut” in Israel.
