AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL

Amnesty is the world’s largest volunteer human rights organization.
Amnesty supports respect for all human rights in all countries
of the world and teaches people about human rights.
Amnesty International’s mission is to undertake research and action
focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical
and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression,
and freedom from discrimination.

 

AMREF

Amref is the leading health development organisation in Africa,
saving and transforming people’s lives in some of the poorest and most
marginalised communities. Amref is a truly African organisation,
of its 700 employees, 97% are African.
Amref is bringing good quality and affordable healthcare closer
to people who need it most, improving access to health treatment
and preventing poor health through community education.

 

EMERGENCY

Emergency provides treatment to the civilian victims of war,
landmines and poverty. It offers medical and surgical treatment free
of charge and without any discrimination.
Emergency trains national staff thoroughly and builds hospitals
specifically dedicated to war victims, rehabilitation centres,
first aid posts and paediatric clinics.

 

GREENPEACE

Greenpeace defends the natural world and promotes peace
by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse,
and championing environmentally responsible solutions.
Greepeace wants to catalyse an energy revolution, defend our oceans
by challenging wasteful and destructive fishing, protect the world’s
remaining ancient forests, work for disarmament and peace,
create a toxic free future, support sustainable agriculture.

 

LIBERA

“Libera, Associations, names and numbers against mafias”, was born on 25 March1995 with the purpose of involving and supporting all those who are interested in the fight against mafias and organized crime. Libera is presently a network of more than 1,200 associations, groups and schools, committed to build up organizational synergies between the political and cultural local realities capable of promoting a culture of lawfulness. The law on the social use of the real estate confiscated from organized crime, the education on democratic lawfulness, the fight against corruption, the camps for antimafia education, the projects on work, development and anti-usury activities, are some of Libera’s concrete commitments.

 

LILA

LILA – Italian League for the Fight against AIDS – is a non-profit HIV/AIDS organisation founded in 1987. It is a federation of associations of both seropositive and seronegative operators, volunteers and professionals, which operates in many Italian regions through its local units. The national coordination team has implemented a structure organised in the following areas of intervention: information, prevention, health care/HIV treatment, harm reduction strategies targeted to at risk population (drug users, sex workers, prisoners), solidarity and assistance and defence of Human rights.

 

WWF

WWF is one of the world’s largest and most respected independent
conservation organizations. Its mission is to stop the degradation
of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans
live in harmony with nature, by:
- conserving the world’s biological diversity;
- ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable;
- promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.
